Service Description: <div style='text-align:Left;'><div><p><span>Polygon feature GIS layer of public park recreational amenities in Wyandotte County, KS. Included in this dataset are facilities like ball fields, tennis courts, sports fields, playgrounds, etc. Roofed and enclosed structural facilities, including picnic shelters and restrooms, are not in this dataset (refer to a dataset called park_bldg_py for those features). Published as an ESRI shapefile format, polygon vector layer, in US feet units in Kansas North State Plane coordinate system, NAD 83 datum. Basic attribution is included, including notably a data field named REC_FACLTY which classifies the facility according to an amenity type. Companion public parks datasets are available : 1) aforementioned park_bldg_py for building footprints (polygons) 2) park boundary layer (park_py), 3) plan line features like driveways, fences, etc (park_plan_ln), 4) plan point features like poles, light posts (park_plan_pt), 5) a point layer corresponding to structures in dataset park_bldg_py (park_facility_pt), 6) park trails (park_trail_ln) 6) GIS annotation labels are available to complement park_py layer.
