<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>Official Tax Unit Map of Wyandotte County, KS, published as an ESRI shapefile (.shp) format, polygon feature layer, in US feet units in Kansas North State Plane coordinate system, NAD 83 datum.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>Tax units are geographic areas comprised of one or more taxing districts (e.g. city, county, school district, drainage district, TIF, etc.) Each tax district is a levying body that submits a budget to the County Clerk and is a recipient of property tax dollars.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>Tax unit polygon boundaries are drawn from available reference sources and personal knowledge of GeoSpatial Services staff, but do not purport to match exactly any legal metes and bounds descriptions. In many cases, tax unit boundaries were digitized coincident with GIS parcel boundaries where the intent was to use parcel boundary as a proxy for the tax unit boundary in a particular location. GIS parcel locational accuracy is relative and is not to absolute survey standards.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>GSS does not have an authoritatively mapped GIS township/section/quarter-section USPLSS grid layer, so in cases where tax unit boundaries were digitized along, say, a section boundary, the locational accuracy of said boundary alignment might be subject to interpretation.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>Tax units and maps are certified by the County Clerk annually to Kansas Department of Revenue, Property Valuation Division.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN /></P></DIV></DIV></DIV> |
