Health clinics in Wyandotte County, KS, published as a point feature GIS layer in ESRI shapefile (.shp) format, in US feet units in Kansas North State Plane coordinate system, NAD 83 datum. This dataset contains public and private clinics, "safety net" (services provide to low-income or indigent patients), as well as for-profit clinics. These health clinics typically offer non-life-threatening emergency care, family practice, physical exams, pregnancy testing, laboratory testing, well baby, and immunization services. Clinic locations are captured as a point feature in center of facility structure, and attribution for each clinic record includes facility name, street address, phone/fax number, and comments on services offered. No hospitals are included. However, dialysis (hemo-dialysis) treatment centers are included and noted in the database. Also not included are walk-in mini-clinics typically found in drugstore chains, or special-purpose treatment clinics (alcoholism, drug addiction, mental health, etc.). Original data source was a GIS file received from Mid-America Regional Council (Kansas City) covering Wyandotte County, KS. This file was used as a starting basis with data clean-up, revisions, and additions resulting in this final publication dataset. GSS is responsible for content of final product.

|
